Kim Min-ji, known as Peggy Gou, is a South Korean DJ, singer, songwriter and record producer based in Berlin, Germany. She has released seven EPs on record labels including Ninja Tune and Phonica.

It was another incredible year for Peggy Gou, who landed as the World's No.1 House DJ in last year’s Top 100 DJs poll. After hitting big with 2023’s ‘(It Goes Like) Nanana’, the producer and DJ reached another milestone with the release of ‘I Hear You’, her debut and highly anticipated album. The record, released on XL Recordings, followed very much in the footsteps of her first chart-topper, pulling heavily from ‘90s house influences with a Gou-esque twist. Follow-up singles ‘I Believe In Love Again’ (featuring none other than Lenny Kravitz), ‘1+1=1’, ‘Lobster Telephone’ and most recent release ‘Find The Way’ proved that Gou could drop banger after banger.
Beyond the releases Gou continued to headline festivals worldwide, playing Coachella’s first weekend, Primavera, and Glastonbury — where Sophie Ellis Bextor joined the DJ to perform her cult classic ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’, providing the world’s most famous festival with one of 2024’s viral moments. Gou also stepped up her press, gracing the covers of L’Officiel Ibiza, Vogue Netherlands and Billboard in a span of months, further signifying her reach beyond the dance music scene.
In those interviews, Gou spoke to the many issues she’s faced throughout her career, among them being pigeon-holed as a strictly underground or strictly mainstream artist. “Some people are like, ‘She’s really underground,’ or ‘She’s commercial’,” she said in her talk with Billboard, adding: “I don’t care. I’m just going to keep doing my thing and you can say what you want.” In her interview with Vogue she spoke candidly about navigating the industry as a woman. “In the infancy of my career, a lot of doors were closed [because of my gender],” she said. “But I eventually stopped caring about negative opinions and will never let it affect me or my decision-making.”
