Getting Started

▸Create a free account at soundfolio.net by clicking 'Sign Up' and providing your email and a secure password.
▸Verify your email address via the confirmation link sent immediately after registration.
▸Complete your profile with a display name, avatar, and optional bio.
▸Browse artists, clubs, events, and festivals without logging in — log in to interact with content.
▸Access all platform features from the navigation bar or the Explore section.

Artist Profiles & Verification

▸Submit an artist profile by navigating to Add Content > Artist while logged in.
▸Each account may submit one artist profile — ensure all information is accurate and complete before submitting.
▸Required: a poster-style image (min 1000×1000px), genre tags, social links, and a biography.
▸Our admin team reviews all submissions within 1–3 business days and notifies you via email.
▸Approved profiles are publicly visible and indexed for discovery. Rejected profiles can be resubmitted after addressing feedback.
▸Ratings and reviews are publicly visible and contribute to an artist's discovery ranking.

Event & Festival Submissions

▸Submit events via Add Content > Event — provide the date, venue, lineup, and a description.
▸Events must be real and verifiable — duplicates or fabricated submissions will be rejected.
▸Festivals follow the same process but include multi-day scheduling and full lineup management.
▸After admin approval, events appear in search results and the Upcoming Events feed.
▸Changes to approved events require resubmission and re-approval by our team.
▸Submit at least one week before the event date for timely approval.

Club Submissions

▸Club profiles represent physical venues — provide accurate address, capacity, and opening hours.
▸Upload a professional club image (min 1000×1000px) to represent the venue in listings.
▸Include social media links (Instagram, Resident Advisor, official website) where available.
▸Club profiles can be edited once per month — plan updates carefully.
▸All club submissions require admin review and approval before going live.

Ratings & Reviews

▸Rate artists on a scale of 1–5 and leave a written review from their profile page.
▸Each user may submit one rating and one review per artist — you can update yours at any time.
▸Reviews are publicly visible and contribute to the artist's overall score.
▸Ratings are aggregated into an average displayed prominently on each artist's profile.
▸Reviews that violate community guidelines (hate speech, spam, harassment) may be removed by admins.

How Profile Ranking Works

▸Artist discovery ranking is influenced by rating score, number of ratings, and review count.
▸Profiles with complete information (bio, links, genres, image) rank higher in search results.
▸Recently updated profiles receive a temporary visibility boost in listings.
▸Engagement metrics such as saves, bookmarks, and views contribute to overall ranking.
▸Admin-approved 'Featured' status provides the highest ranking boost for curated profiles.

Account & Security

▸Change your password anytime from My Profile > Security — use a strong, unique password.
▸Use 'Forgot Password' on the sign-in page to receive a reset link to your registered email.
▸Update personal information from My Profile > Personal Information.
▸To permanently delete your account, contact support@soundfolio.net — all personal data will be removed.
▸We use Supabase for secure authentication — your password is never stored in plaintext.

Bookings

▸Submit a booking enquiry from an artist's profile page by clicking 'Book Artist'.
▸Provide event details: date, location, estimated attendance, and budget range.
▸Booking requests are reviewed and managed by our team — you will receive a follow-up via email.
▸Bookings are subject to artist availability and mutual agreement on terms.
▸There is no fee for submitting a booking enquiry through Soundfolio.

Reporting Content

▸Use 'Report a Problem' in the footer if you encounter inappropriate, false, or harmful content.
▸Describe the issue clearly — include which profile or page is affected.
▸Our moderation team reviews all reports within 48 hours.
▸For urgent safety issues, contact support@soundfolio.net directly.
▸Repeated violations of community standards may result in account suspension.

▸Soundfolio works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
▸If you experience slow loading or errors, clear your browser cache and refresh the page.
